February 11, 2010 - Breakfast Meeting: Thomas Sullivan, CT Insurance Commissioner, will present "The State of the State".
March 11, 2010 - Luncheon Meeting: Quinipiac University presentation on Ethics
April 8, 2010 - Breakfast Meeting: (Joint meeting with HAIW & our Annual Meeting of Membership) Bob Kehmna, President of the Insurance Association of CT, will discuss current legislative and government hot issues.
May 13, 2010 - Dinner Meeting: (Installation of Officers) Doug Holtz, President CPCU Society, will preside.
Location of Meetings:
Based on your preferences expressed in a survey in April 2008 (and unless otherwise stated), all meetings will be held at The Sheraton Hotel, 100 East River Drive, East Hartford, CT ... offering easy access from I-84 and free parking.
Meeting times:
Breakfast meetings: Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by a buffet at 8:00 a.m. and our keynote speaker from 8:30-9:15 a.m.
Luncheon meetings: Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by a buffet at noon and our keynote speaker from 12:30-1:15 p.m.
Dinner meeting: Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar, followed by a served dinner at 6:15 p.m., installation of officers at 7:00 p.m. and our keynote speaker from 7:15 – 8:00 p.m.
Prices:
Effective January 2008 all regularly scheduled monthly meetings (with the exception of our annual New Designee Reception, May Dinner Meeting and I Day) will be free to all CT Chapter Paid Members as a part of our new dues structure! We need you to register for each meeting, however, to plan for food and seating! Our meetings are always open to all insurance professionals, however. The $36 per regular monthly meeting charge will remain in effect in 2009/2010 for any CPCU who is not a paid member of the CT Chapter and to all other insurance professionals whether or not you carry the CPCU designation. Our New Designee Reception, May Dinner Meeting and I Day prices will be posted under separate notices. Many companies will support these meetings as educational events and reimburse the expenses for their employees.
